The award-winning MARIE is one of the most stunning sailing yachts available for charter. Built in 2010 to the highest of standards by Vitters Shipyard and further benefitting from a refit in 2015, her 180-foot (55m) length hosts luxurious comforts throughout. With her sleek, dark hull, with a contrasting red stripe and red deck furniture, she is easily identifiable in every port. Her sailing performance is exceptional, allowing all those who step on board to feel the thrill of the ocean as soon as she sets sail. Her interior design is the collaboration of Hoek Design and David Easton who have created a sophisticated and timeless style.
MARIE is a powerful, fast sailing yacht while also providing great comfort while at sea. She is a regatta winner of the Superyacht Cup in Palma in 2015 as well as the 2014 St. Barth’s Bucket. MARIE marries traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. Her refit in 2015 included new air conditioning as well as an extensive list of amenities and toys including Wi-Fi and various audio-visual entertainment options. Her interior space is timeless, spacious and sophisticated, featuring marine paintings, rare antiques, a self-playing baby grand piano, as well as a working canon. This canon can be fired off the deck and adds a real element fun to the charter experience.
Another notable feature on board MARIE is her motorized crow’s nest 123-feet above deck. Not for the faint hearted, but the perfect place to admire MARIE from above. A beautiful area for alfresco dining is located on the deck in the large cockpit forward of the helm. For added protection, this area is sheltered by a removable Bimini top. A cozy seating area aft is a great place to admire MARIE’s power when she is under sail.
For your enjoyment while on board MARIE offers a wide array of water toys. These include paddleboards, kayaks, wakeboards, water skis, an inflatable Tower One trampoline and a Ringo. There are also two Pico sailing dinghies for those enthused from their sailing experience. Snorkeling equipment and fishing equipment are also on board to ensure a fun packed charter for everyone.
MARIE can accommodate up to eight guests in four beautifully appointed staterooms. The expansive master stateroom has a king-sized bed and his-and-hers bathrooms. The VIP stateroom also boats a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom. There are a further two double cabins. For the convenience of families there are also two Pullman bunks that are suitable for children. MARIE can also accommodate a crew of eight to ensure all your needs are met while on board this luxury charter yacht.
MARIE has a beam of 30-feet (9.1m) and a draft of 16-feet (4.9m). Her engines power her up to 12 knots at cruising speed with a maximum speed of 19.1 knots. Her bulb keel yields a very fast hull and her carbon fiber masts, fitted with EC6 rigging, are state-of-the-art. For a competitive edge, MARIE sports a set of sails that allow 18+ knots close reaching.
