My Present
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Claudia Acevedo and as a Northrop & Johnson Charter Specialist, I’m dedicated to both roles: Charter retail and Charter management. This dual role gives me a broad understanding and perspective on how both sides operate, allowing me to best serve and understand my client's needs. It has also helped me build long-lasting relationships with other professionals and clients throughout my career.
My Past
I’m originally from Colombia and moved to the U.S. at a very young age. I began my career in yachting in 2007. While still in college, I started working for Merle Wood & Associates, where I spent seven years learning from highly experienced industry professionals. I then joined the International Yachting Collection (IYC), where I worked side by side with top-selling brokers who enabled me to showcase all of my experience and broad knowledge in the different areas of the yachting industry.
In 2016, I joined MarineMax as a Charter Specialist, acting as both a retail Charter Broker and Charter Manager. For four years I supported all of the MarineMax brokers, generating more business by promoting “trying chartering before buying”, which allows clients to have a better understanding. Following the recent unification of both companies, I continue to support MarineMax in my role as a Charter Specialist.
My Future
Traveling to new places and visiting yachts as often as possible to best serve and advise my clients.

My Outside-office Life
I spend my time with my family Gianna, Enzo and Augusto. I also enjoy traveling, reading, eating and hanging out with our two dogs, Mango and Martin.
