Charter crews are known to go above and beyond for charter guests, creating memorable experiences that last a lifetime. During the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 31 to November 4, yacht crews gave show attendees and judges a glimpse into the magic that happens on board, especially during theme nights. While boat show attendees were busy touring yachts, interior crews were busy creating stunning tablescapes for Aqualuxe’s Top Notch Tabletop Challenge. Eleven yacht crews competed in this year’s competition and were judged by a panel of former crew and interior experts. Northrop & Johnson is delighted to announce that members of our charter fleet, REBEL and I LOVE THIS BOAT, were victorious in the competition.
In light of the competition taking place during the week of Halloween, REBEL’s stewardesses Brittny Otto and Grace Gravett created a “Halloween Night” tablescape — this expertly designed table brought them first place in the Luxe Interior category; they also were named the winners of Stylish Menu Design. The beautiful table was the essence of Halloween with pumpkins surrounded by fall foliage and toy bats dangling from the chandelier. Instead of a normal menu, the dishes of the day were displayed on a pumpkin.
I LOVE THIS BOAT took home second place in the Luxe Interior category with its “1920s Prohibition Poker Night” tablescape. Stepping into the dining room, one instantly felt as though they were sent back to the 1920s. Stewardesses Carly Benjamin and Katie Leetz created striking centerpieces filled with feathers and dripping in jewels; poker chips were scattered around the tables and playing cards were used as name cards. In addition, the menus were dressed in white tuxedos to complete the luxurious poker night.
Northrop & Johnson congratulates the crews of REBEL and I LOVE THIS BOAT for their outstanding tabelscapes. N&J is extremely proud to have such talented crew in our charter fleet.
