The Vanquish VQ48 was designed with the driver in mind; high-performance handling appeals to the car lover who wants the same control on the water. Seamless steering, powerful acceleration, high-level agility and excellent seakeeping are promised in the 49-foot launch. The VQ48 can be powered by twin 600hp or 715hp engines and assisted by pod drives. The top speed is 40-plus-knots, while the Veloce version pushes this speed to well over 50 knots. Not just a good performer, the VQ48 is a looker, too, with sleek lines by Dutch superyacht designer Guido de Groot.
The SipaBoards Air is the answer for an over-stocked tender garage. This easily inflatable stand-up paddleboard self-inflates in less than five minutes. With the touch of a magnetic switch, a fully integrated pump blows up the board via an electric compressor, which is powered by a rechargeable battery that can inflate the board three times before needing a recharge. Designed expressly to help paddleboarders get on the water more quickly, the petite board can fit into a backpack before it’s pumped, and when ready to go on the water it inflates in moments. The Air comes in three different shapes depending on your needs: the Cruiser, for long-range paddles; the Balance, highly stable and ideal for yoga; and the All Rounder, perfect for the entire family.
Take your workout to the water with the new Mirage Eclipse from Hobie. The clever contraption combines the buoyancy of a stand-up paddleboard with foot pedal power and handlebar controls of a bicycle. The foot pedals, a system made popular on Hobie’s kayaks, connect to large fins beneath the water’s surface, which efficiently drive the board forward. Much like a bicycle, an aluminum alloy handlebar adds stability and control, though instead of brakes the levers on the handlebars assist in maneuvering. Constructed in advanced composite epoxy, this high-performance paddleboard is extremely stable. It’s also highly adaptable – the handlebars can be removed, and the pedals and rudders locked in place, so it can transform into a standard SUP in minutes. The Mirage Eclipse comes in two sizes. Available in sunny yellow or bright blue, the craft is easily spotted on the water.
An instant classic the moment it hit the water, Riva has launched its new Rivamare speedboat. The 39-foot Riva will make an ideal day boat or tender to a suitably sized superyacht. Inspired by the famed Aquariva Super and the Aquarama, the glossy, mahogany decked Rivamare channels her sisters’ timeless elegance, weaving in modern comforts and intelligent use of space. The stern boasts a mini beach club while the cockpit has a C-shaped lounge set around a folding table. The luxe interior is open and spacious with a kitchen, a dinette, a living area that converts into a bedroom and a separate bathroom. What’s better than a sexy new Riva? A Fiat designed specifically to match, of course. Two icons of Italian design have come together to create the new Fiat 500 Riva, a sporty blue Fiat with Riva flair. The Fiat 500 Riva, available in hatchback or convertible, has luxurious appointments to mimic its waterborne inspiration; a hand-painted mahogany dash and ivory leather interior were exclusively created by Italy’s Poltrona Frau.
