As 2024 comes to a close, the team at Northrop & Johnson wanted to take a moment to wish you a joyful holiday season. We’re incredibly grateful to all our clients, partners, yachting industry friends, extraordinary brokers, and team members who made 2024 wonderful. Whether you’re spending this season at sea or on shore, we hope it’s filled with peace, happiness, and a little adventure. Here’s to smooth sailing in the year ahead. We hope you enjoy our holiday video.
And now, we invite you to take a look at the year we’ve had together as we celebrate our successes and share in hopes for the year ahead.
2024 was busy for N&J. Beginning in March, we participated in our first yachting event of the year, the Palm Beach International Boat Show, with 11 yachts on display. We displayed nine yachts in April at the 2024 Newport Beach International Boat Show. We participated in charter shows in the late spring and early summer in the Med and in New England, kicking off both summer seasons. In the fall, N&J had five yachts on display at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival in early September and another six available for viewing at the Monaco Yacht Show at the end of September. We closed out the year with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where N&J debuted a brand-new stand, welcomed hundreds of visitors, and had 10 yachts on display in our exhibit and an additional seven around the show.
We also are very proud of the yachts in our charter fleet, which hosted hundreds of clients for one-of-a-kind on-water experiences throughout the year. Our most booked yachts included MILESTONE, VICTORIA DEL MAR, TC and MAORIA. Our most visited charter destinations included The Bahamas, Greece, St Thomas, St Maarten and Naples, Italy. Additionally, our charter brokers were busy booking hundreds of yacht charters worldwide.
Northrop & Johnson is also proud of our yacht brokers, who closed more than 128 deals and counting this year, acting on behalf of both buyers and sellers, sometimes both in the same deal. Our largest deals included the sale of the 269′ (82m) Oceanco ALFA NERO, the 262’5″ (80m) Benetti PROJECT IRON MAN, the 187′ (57m) Heesen SANTOSHA, the 180′ (50m) Amels DRIFTWOOD, and the 177′ (54m) Overmarine Mangusta EL LEON, to name a few.
Overall, Northrop & Johnson is so proud of the year we leave behind and look forward to what 2025 has to bring. We look forward to working with you again in the New Year and seeing you soon on the docks or the water. If you need any assistance during the holiday period, please reach out to your Northrop & Johnson Yacht or Charter Broker. Happy Holidays.
