Captains, in teams of four, converged on the Boca Country Club and Resort in Boca Raton, Florida, on Friday, October 17 for a shotgun start round. For the first time in the history of the event, the hole-in-one prize was claimed. Captain Billy Lockhart won an all-expenses-paid trip to the Masters Tournament by sinking one from the tee. The winning foursomes consisted of Captains Cheyene Wright, Bill Lepree and Jay Pottzitler in first place, Captains Scott Gaffga, Bryan Carter, Doug Hoogs and Nick Starkey in second place followed very closely by Captains Ken Rohlman, Chuck Renard, Tim Silva and Field Carmichael in third.
In addition to the revelry, a charity raffle helped raise almost $5,000 in additional funds for Yacht Aid Global, the Marine Industry Cares Foundation and the NSU/ Guy Harvey Shark Research Center.
