Northrop & Johnson clients, NetJets Owners, Albany residents and players in the Albany Classic golf tournament enjoyed an exclusive event aboard SOLO, the 236-foot (72m) Tankoa superyacht on Saturday, March 7 at Albany Marina in The Bahamas. The event featured a Champagne bar by Billecart Salmon, and guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés as they toured the luxury yacht and listened to DJ beats.
The Albany Classic, an event exclusive to Albany members and guests, took place over two days and featured more than 80 players. The event aboard SOLO was part of the tournament’s festivities, celebrating the fun and camaraderie of golf, and came to be through Northrop & Johnson’s strategic partnership with NetJets.Albany is a luxury resort community situated on 600 stunning seaside acres along New Providence, Bahamas. Albany was founded by Joe Lewis and private investment organization Tavistock Group, world-famous golfing legends Tiger Woods and Ernie Els and renowned musician Justin Timberlake. Albany offers luxury villas, custom lots and marina residences. It is home to a full-service superyacht marina.
One of Albany’s hallmarks is its Ernie Els-designed 18-hole championship golf course. This par-72, 7,400-yard course features windswept dunes, challenging water features and stunning views. A 400-yard driving range, a short game area that includes chipping and putting greens and a swing performance center round out the golf amenities.
