On Friday, April 11, the sun was shining, and spirits were high as Northrop & Johnson hosted its first-annual Spring Golf Tournament. The event brought together the yachting industry’s finest captains, crew, sponsors, and N&J team members for a day of friendly competition and community. With 56 attendees from the captain, crew, and sponsor network and 21 representatives from N&J, the event teed off with high energy and ended on a winning note.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Terre Blanche in Tourrettes, France, this world-renowned golf resort provided the perfect stage for a day of networking, sport, and celebration. The lush greens and scenic views elevated every swing, making for an unforgettable experience.
The day was filled with impressive shots, cheerful banter, and well-deserved victories. Awards were given to golfers for the longest drive, which earned an all-inclusive trip for two to Bermuda, nearest the pin, which was awarded a magnum bottle of Champagne, first place net score, and second place net score, each of which received a Macallan Whisky bottle for each player. The top honor, first place gross score, which won the N&J Spring Invitational Trophy and N&J Branded Headphones, included Captain Mark Horsnail, Captain Nick Strong, Captain Cameron Mackernan, and N&J Yacht Broker Richard Higgins.
We were honored to be joined by an outstanding lineup of sponsors who brought an extra layer of prestige and excitement to the day. These sponsors included Pendennis, a world-class superyacht refit and custom build shipyard. With facilities in both the UK and Vilanova, Pendennis is synonymous with quality, innovation, and service. Experts in superyacht insurance, Fort Insurance, brought a wealth of knowledge to the event. With tailored policies and personal service, they’re a trusted name for owners worldwide. Bermuda Tourism added a touch of wanderlust. Sophisticated, serene, and just a short hop from the U.S., Bermuda is quickly becoming a favorite superyacht destination. Beloved partner of N&J in the US, Macallan made its European debut. A smooth single malt with a warming finish was the perfect reward for a great round. Crafted in Tuscany, Lintea Mare linens were a welcome sponsor. Their linens are more than just fabric—they’re statements of style and sophistication. Proudly handmade in Italy, they are a perfect fit for luxury yachts, private jets, and beyond. With deep yachting roots and a refined palate, Onshore Cellars delighted golfers with delicious drinks. They provide everything from rare vintages to seamless global deliveries; their wine provisioning is second to none. With more than a decade of experience, All Around the Yacht kept everyone looking chic. They offer fully bespoke solutions with sustainability and personal service at the core. Their uniforms look as good as they perform. Wolfram Berge Delikatessen, a family-run gourmet company from Switzerland, delighted guests with the promise of elevated onboard cuisine. Their handcrafted delicacies—mustard sauces, vegan options, and more—bring five-star flavor to any galley. And creating a beautiful ambience at the event and elevating the floristry at sea, STILLA’s long-lasting floral arrangements combine elegance with practicality. Perfect for superyachts, their sustainable blooms offer timeless beauty with minimal maintenance.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, attended, and supported the event. The 2025 N&J Golf Tournament at Terre Blanche was more than just a game—it was a celebration of our incredible community and the shared passion that drives the superyacht industry forward. Until next year—fairways and following seas!
