Fall Event Preview 2021
As the summer sun begins to set earlier each day, at Northrop & Johnson our sights are set on the horizon and our fall 2021 events, which include some of the biggest and most exclusive yachting shows in the world and more.
The first big event on the docket is the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival. The 44th edition of this annual event will be held from Tuesday, September 7 to Sunday, September 12 in one of the most beautiful cities in the South of France. Set between Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto, the show welcomes up to 600 luxury motor and sailing yachts. The 2021 edition of the show will have a new, exclusive sailing area. The largest in-water boat and yacht show in New England, the Newport Brokerage Boat Show, will take place this year from September 16 to 19, at the Newport Shipyard. More than 1oo boats and yachts, ranging in size from 40 to 185 feet, will be on display. This event is free for attendees and is held in conjunction with the Newport International Boat Show, which is ticketed. The Monaco Yacht Show is billed as the most glamourous yachting event in the world. Every year it draws yacht owners, yacht charterers, industry insiders and yachting enthusiasts to the striking Port Hercules set in the middle of the action. One of the non-yachting highlights of the fall season is the 2021 Audrain Concours and Motor Week in Newport, Rhode Island. The historic city will be brimming with incredible automotive offerings from September 30 to October 3. Northrop & Johnson is proud to take part in this event, participating in the Wine by the Water wine tasting at the 41° North Marina on Thursday, September 30, where we will have on display our 161-foot (49.07m) Trinity yacht for charter and sale, ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM. Northrop & Johnson also will participate in The Gathering event at Doris Duke’s Rough Point mansion where we will provide guests with “a taste of yachting.” For more details on these exciting events, click here.
The crème-de-le-crème of yachting events is the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The biggest boating event in the world, this annual show takes place along the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale annually. The 2021 edition of this much-anticipated event will take place from October 28 to 31, 2021. Northrop & Johnson is excited to unveil the N&J Signature Experience at this year’s event.
