Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce the sale of the 140-foot (42.67m) Vitters luxury sailing yacht APHRODITE A by Yacht Broker Ann Avery of Northrop & Johnson and Yacht Broker Dennis Frederiksen of Fraser Yachts representing the Seller and Yacht Broker Jochen Brill of Northrop & Johnson representing the Buyer. 

APHRODITE A is an exceptionally stunning aluminum sloop with a prominent pedigree courtesy of the design and build team at Hoek/Vitters. A custom world cruiser with contemporary amenities and systems, APHRODITE A offers both excellent sailing performance and total comfort at sea. Safety and security when traveling the world are of the utmost importance and APHRODITE A promises both thanks to her top-class security features. She also is ideally suited for deep-sea fishing thanks to her unique cockpit. 

Built for independent, extended offshore cruising, APHRODITE A can cruise for three months at a time without visiting a port or bunker station. She boasts a range of 4,500 nautical miles. Her exceptional, full-width engine room is outfitted with top-of-the-line equipment and her walk-in freezer and refrigerator allow for extra food stores. Truly an expedition yacht well suited for global circumnavigation, APHRODITE A offers it all. 

Inside her sporty exterior style is a large raised salon with pilothouse functions forward. She is easily sailed thanks to an interior steering station and exterior twin helms, her captive winches and carbon rig with in-boom mainsail furling. She features a highly-customized transom that offers a spacious platform for a sports-fishing chair and a “beach club” that allows easy water access. The yacht’s stand-up lazarette, which is accessed through the transom door, provides a station to make fishing flies and place to keep the day’s catch as well as sports gear and dive equipment. APHRODITE A has cockpit dining tables that can convert into day beds or cocktail tables and a retractable Bimini cover for offering shade or sun. 

The yacht’s traditional interior style is welcoming and relaxing. High-gloss cherry wood provides a richness to APHRODITE A’s interior spaces. She has a light-filled upper salon and a lower salon, both well suited for entertaining and socializing. APHRODITE A welcomes up to eight guests in four elegant staterooms.
