Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce the sale of the 165’ (51m) Trinity motor yacht SAPPHIRE via Boathouse Auctions. Represented by Yacht Brokers Sean Doyle and Wes Sanford, SAPPHIRE was last asking $14,950,000 and garnered strong interest from qualified buyers ahead of the auction.
Built in aluminum to ABS classification and delivered in 2009, SAPPHIRE is a standout example of American yacht craftsmanship. She underwent an extensive refit in 2019, followed by significant technical upgrades in 2020 and 2021, including rebuilt main engines and new generators. She has also recently completed her five-year survey and was presented to the market in excellent condition, ready for immediate cruising.
One of SAPPHIRE’s most notable features is her versatile layout. With accommodations for up to 20 guests across seven staterooms, she is ideally suited for large family cruising or as a capable mothership support vessel. The layout includes two triple cabins with queen and twin berths, two twin cabins with Pullmans, and two additional guest cabins located on the main and bridge decks. The master suite is positioned on the bridge deck and offers a private haven with a spacious ensuite bath, large bathtub, and direct access to an expansive private deck.
Onboard comfort is maximized thanks to her zero-speed stabilizers and shallow draft, which allows easy access to cruising hotspots such as Florida and The Bahamas. Her 4,000-nautical-mile range ensures she is equally suited to long-range itineraries.
The sundeck features a Jacuzzi, a full-service bar, and multiple lounging and dining areas. Additional outdoor spaces include the Portuguese bridge, bridge deck aft lounge, and a large main deck aft dining table. Tender and toy storage is cleverly integrated into the design to keep decks open and functional.
Interior styling by James McFarlane blends timeless design with functionality. The main salon offers expansive seating, a welcoming bar area, and a formal dining room for 14 guests, all flooded with natural light. A unique bonus room forward of the salon can be used as a playroom or converted into an additional VIP suite.
With her proven platform, recent technical investments, and high guest capacity, SAPPHIRE is an ideal acquisition for an experienced owner seeking a capable, family-friendly superyacht.
