Built by Carey Shipyard in New Zealand in 2007, TASMAN is a true ocean-crossing explorer designed by McBride Design (Richard McBride Design Ltd.). Her full-displacement composite hull, stabilized with Naiad systems, and shallow 2.06-meter draft make her exceptionally capable for both high-seas performance and coastal exploration. Powered by twin Yanmar 330hp engines, she cruises efficiently at 10 knots with a maximum speed of 14 knots and a range of 2,400 nautical miles.
