AMELS 206 SOLD BY NORTHROP & JOHNSON

Northrop & Johnson announces the sale of the 205-foot (62.4m) AMELS 206 new-build luxury yacht. The yacht was sold by Sales Brokers Todd Rittenhouse and Rolf Smith, who represented the buyer; they are members of Northrop & Johnson’s California sales division.

The AMELS 206 is the fourth yacht of the prestigious Dutch luxury yacht builder’s Limited Editions range. This range is gaining in popularity due to the variety of individual design choices available in conjunction with the fast delivery times. The AMELS 206 is set for delivery in spring 2020.

Renowned designer Tim Heywood is behind the aesthetics of this exceptional new-build luxury yacht. “The AMELS 206 is a proven performer and a real head-turner,” says AMELS and DAMEN Managing Director Rose Damen. “She is a beautiful yacht with striking curves. We’re proud to be completing this yacht for our client and can’t wait to see her on her maiden voyage next year.”

In collaboration with Tim Heywood’s exterior design team, the owner has chosen a sophisticated color palette for the yacht’s hull, which will be a beautiful light gray, and superstructure, which will be painted a vibrant white — the combination is sure to garner many looks when in port. The yacht’s long lines from her Scimitar bow to her swim platform are particularly striking.

The luxury superyacht’s interiors are a stunning collaboration by Laura Sessa and a specialist interiors team from AMELS. The unique styling is impressive. The yacht will feature two bridge-deck VIP suites, signature round windows flanking the owner’s suite and enclosed tender storage for two 26-foot (8m) tenders forward. The AMELS 206 is incredibly spacious and well laid out.
