Custom Nordia 58 JULIA Yacht for Sale

Posted February 12, 2025 in Brokerage & New Build

Northrop & Johnson is delighted to announce the listing of JULIA, a custom-built Nordia 58 sailing yacht from Van Dam Shipyards. JULIA is for sale with yacht broker Jaap Havenga, asking €590,000, VAT paid.

Delivered in 2001, JULIA is designed as a larger version of the Nordia 55. She boasts increased internal volume, a wider stern, and expanded storage and deck space, all wrapped in sleek traditional lines with a modern edge. Built to CE Category A-OCEAN standards, JULIA is perfectly suited for worldwide cruising.

JULIA features teak surfaces and a well-protected center cockpit with a steering console, offering a safe and comfortable space for handling or relaxing. Her sloop cutter rig, with a Hall Spars aluminum mast and boom, Reckmann hydraulic furling headsails, and an in-mast furling system, ensures good sailing performance and ease of operation. Hydraulic sheet winches and a bow thruster add to her shorthanded sailing capability, while her spacious aft deck, stern davits, and telescopic gangway make tender storage and access seamless.

Below deck, you’ll find a spacious, semi-raised saloon midships bathed in natural light from the large hull portholes, overhead hatches, and surrounding windows. The interior is finished in warm cherrywood with teak and holly floorboards. The saloon features a cozy seating area with a dining table to port, a chart table to starboard, and a fully equipped galley located along the passageway leading to the aft master cabin.

Accommodations aboard JULIA are designed for up to six guests. The master cabin aft is a private retreat, complete with a large double bed, seating, hanging lockers, and an ensuite head with a shower. Forward, two guest cabins, i.e., one with a double bed to portside and a single bed to starboard, both with a removable upper bed. A removable partition wall allows for customization, transforming the space into one large cabin or keeping it as two separate rooms. The guest cabins share a spacious head and shower, making them ideal for families or friends.

JULIA’s owners, seasoned yachtsmen with a history of owning Nordia yachts, have maintained her in good condition. She benefits from a full rig service completed in 2016, a new set of cruising sails added in 2018, and her hull topsides wrapped in a striking green foil in 2020. Regular annual haul-outs for hull servicing and inspections further reflect the care and attention given to her upkeep.

Designed for serious bluewater cruising, JULIA offers performance and practicality, making her an ideal choice for an experienced couple or family looking to explore the world’s oceans.
