Northrop & Johnson is thrilled to announce the sale of the stunning Amels 180 superyacht DRIFTWOOD, with Yacht Brokers Kevin Merrigan and Kristen Klein proudly representing the buyer. DRIFTWOOD was last asking $39,000,000 and is widely regarded as one of the finest Amels 180 yachts ever built.
Launched in 2017, DRIFTWOOD is the ultimate blend of luxury, adventure and style. The yacht’s interior design, crafted by the acclaimed Remi Tessier, embraces a chic beach house aesthetic, featuring bleached teak, neutral sand tones and large windows that flood the space with natural light. The tranquil ambiance is enhanced by tasteful pops of color and sophisticated ambient lighting, offering a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout.
One of the standout features of DRIFTWOOD is her expansive sundeck, complete with a large Jacuzzi, sunpads, a backlit bar and an outdoor cinema—perfect for alfresco entertainment. The yacht also boasts multiple balconies, including a fold-down balcony in the master suite and a midships balcony that allows guests to feel connected to the sea at every moment. DRIFTWOOD welcomes a total of 12 guests onboard. The master suite, located on the main deck, offers a private oasis with an office, lounge, walk-in wardrobe and stunning sea views. The fold-down balcony provides an added touch of luxury and seclusion. The superyacht’s four remaining cabins include two doubles and two twins which can be converted into VIP cabins, while the two twin cabins have Pullmans.
With her recent comprehensive refits, DRIFTWOOD is ready for her next adventure. The refits included a complete exterior paint job, a 5-year survey, new exterior cushions, awnings and Onyx tables in 2022, as well as interior upgrades such as new woven carpets, cushion fabrics, and fresh water pipework in 2024. Extensive maintenance was also completed on her generators, main engines, stabilizers, and water tanks, ensuring her seaworthiness and readiness for future cruising.
Designed by Tim Heywood, DRIFTWOOD is set up for adventure with her ample toy storage and spacious swim platform, perfect for activities such as surfing, kiting and other water sports. Her entire exterior design is centered around alfresco enjoyment.
