Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce the sale of the 51-foot (15.54m) Stephens yacht FIRST LIGHT by Yacht Broker Tom Corkett, acting on behalf of the buyer and seller.
Built in 1974, FIRST LIGHT is a truly unique motor yacht that has been maintained to the highest possible standards. This traditional cruiser is the ideal combination of comfort and function with an air of vintage grace and charm. The last wooden yacht built by Stephens Marine, she is a veritable piece of history.
The interior spaces of FIRST LIGHT are welcoming with a cozy beach style and classic mahogany wood paneling. The main salon is surrounded by large windows that allow for magnificent views and ambient light. The comfortable space is well suited for relaxing on a couch and two chairs around a table. The lower helm, which is ideally situated to allow the captain to interact easily with all in the main salon, is located forward. The yacht’s galley is located just below the main salon and accessed by a small set of stairs.
FIRST LIGHT welcomes up to six guests in two lovely staterooms. The master has a V-shaped berth, plenty of stowage, hanging lockers and an en-suite bath with a shower. The additional stateroom features upper and lower bunks and an en-suite bath. The layout is well suited for all types of guests.
The deck layout of FIRST LIGHT is traditional and well-thought-out, ensuring the yacht can be used for fishing, water sports or simply cruising and enjoying the view. Her cockpit has a walk-through transom and a custom live baitwell. It also is well laid out, providing ample space. A stainless steel-and-teak ladder leads you to the flybridge, which is an excellent place for soaking in the sun while cruising. Here you will find the upper helm and two helm chairs as well as a full suite of instruments. Guests can enjoy unobstructed views from this space.
