Northrop & Johnson announces the sale of the 42’ (12.80m) sailing yacht GOLEEN by Yacht Broker Brian Commette, representing the seller. The yacht was last asking $495,000.

GOLEEN is a classic M42 sailing yacht, and one of the most successful Sparkman & Stephens designs ever launched. The maneuverability and responsiveness of this Morris yacht make her perfect for sailing enthusiasts. GOLEEN has received many updates and upgrades throughout her life, including a retractable bow thruster and air conditioning. 

Sailing yacht GOLEEN welcomes up to six guests onboard. Her comfortable interior features berths for four with standing headroom and natural light flow. To port and starboard are settees for guests to hang out and lounge after a long day on the water. The drop-leaf table serves as a dining area for guests and features liquor storage space. Natural light is encouraged to flow through thanks to the eight large fixed portlights. At the forward end of the settees are storage lockers and shelves for optimal use of space. 

Additional accommodations include a forward cabin with a queen-size berth, full-length shelves and access under the berth. There is great lighting and ventilation courtesy of the 4” SS dorade vents. The sailing yacht also features a bathroom with a shower. 

GOLEEN’s minimalistic galley is equipped with everything you need to make meals onboard. The refrigerator, two-burner propane stove and stainless steel sink are properly situated aft to starboard. 

The yacht’s cockpit is spacious with seating to port and starboard. At six feet in length, they are suitable for seating six adults or to relax and take a nap. There are hatches on all three cockpit seats for easy access to storage below deck.
