The 177’ (54m) Benetti STARFIRE is now for sale with Yacht Broker Carl Sputh. The luxury superyacht is asking $16,750,000.
STARFIRE, crafted in Italy by the Benetti boatyard in 1997, carries a legacy of excellence. Originally owned by one of the Benetti investors, who was actively involved during the shipyard’s construction phase, STARFIRE set a new standard for quality and timeless elegance in yacht building in 1997. The owner spared no expense in her creation, focusing on artful deco interiors, enduring exteriors, and a meticulously designed engine room for easy access to equipment.
Spanning 177 feet (54 meters) in length, with a beam of 31.5 feet (9.6 meters), and a draft of 11 feet (3.3 meters), STARFIRE weighs 747 tons and features a fuel capacity of 37,000 gallons (140,000 liters) of diesel fuel. Her steel hull and aluminum superstructure allow for graceful cruising at 12 knots, with a maximum speed of 15 knots. When cruising, she maintains an efficient fuel consumption of 64 gallons per hour (243 liters). STARFIRE accommodates 14 guests in six staterooms and with space for 14 crew members in seven cabins.
STARFIRE underwent a comprehensive refit from February to April 2023. Concurrent with the completion of her Lloyds special surveys, an extensive array of upgrades and maintenance tasks was meticulously executed. The main engines underwent 12,000-hour service, while the stabilizers received 8,000-hour service. Extensive paintworks, the installation of new wall panels in guest cabins and the addition of new carpets in the cabins and crew area further enhance her appeal. Technical enhancements included the integration of a new Thrane Iridium GMDSS Unit. Crew well-being was further enhanced with the installation of two new bathrooms in the forwardmost cabins. Replacement of shackles in the anchor chain and overhauling the windlasses were also completed. A major refit was also completed in 2019, further attesting to STARFIRE’s commitment to continual improvement.
Demonstrating a consistent performance over the past five years, with 940 sea days, 387 charter days, and 321 days of owner usage, STARFIRE has navigated the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Baltic, and Red Seas. Throughout these journeys, STARFIRE has established a stellar reputation, earning praise from both brokers and guests. Notably, she has maintained a flawless record, never missing a charter or owner trip. The vessel’s expansive layout showcases exquisite interior woods and multiple decks, offering abundant space for both group gatherings and serene moments of relaxation.
Furthermore, STARFIRE boasts an exceptional crew with a long-standing tenure, emphasizing the importance of a harmonious onboard atmosphere. The original owner foresaw the challenges of working and living together, leading to the creation of a full-beam crew mess divided into two parts: a crew lounge and dining area. Additionally, space was designated for six individual desks for department heads, offering both communal and private areas for crew members to collaborate and focus.
In summary, STARFIRE not only excels in design and performance but also in providing a comfortable and efficient onboard experience, making her a truly exceptional vessel in the world of yachting.
