Northrop & Johnson is excited to welcome Ali Tanir to its international team of yachting professionals. With nearly two decades of experience in the yachting industry, Ali joins us as a Yacht Broker & New Construction Specialist.
In his new role, Ali will play a pivotal role in expanding Northrop & Johnson’s presence within the Turkish superyacht market, serving as a vital link between U.S. clientele and top-tier Turkish yacht builders. His extensive background and deep understanding of both markets uniquely position him to deliver exceptional service and facilitate seamless transactions for his clients.
Ali’s journey in the yachting industry began in Istanbul, where his childhood connection to the sea ignited a lifelong passion. Following his university education, Ali embarked on a dynamic career path that encompassed various roles within the global yachting industry. He initially began in brand and marketing at Vicem Yachts, where he played a role in elevating the company’s profile on the international stage. Ali founded Mare Amante and served as a Strategic Marketing Consultant for leading Turkish yards, including Numarine, Tansu Yachts, RMK, and Northstar RIBS.
Ali’s professional journey then led him to Numarine, where he assumed multiple roles, including Sales and Marketing Manager and Head of International Sales. During his tenure at Numarine, Ali played a crucial role in spearheading the company’s expansion into the American market, actively participating in U.S. boat shows and solidifying strategic partnerships. Upon successfully securing Northrop & Johnson’s representation for VisionF in the U.S., Ali found himself drawn to Northrop & Johnson, recognizing it as the ideal platform to further his career in the yachting industry.
