To show off their five-star talents in preparation for the upcoming charter season, the evening was catered by Captain Renzo Chelazzi and the great crew of SOLO. Chef Gionata Rossi and Sous Chef Mattia di Pierdomenico created delicious Italian finger food, which was served by the interior crew led by Chief Stewardess Liga Krigere. They created an elegant and warm atmosphere to showcase the best of Italy.
Guests sipped wines from Tuscany by Torciano Wines. The owner of the vineyard, Pierluigi Giachi, was on board with his son, Emanuele, to explain the qualities of these extraordinary wines. There was prosecco, Vernaccia (white wine) served first and then some excellent red wines from Tuscany: Terrestre, Bartolomeo and Brunello di Montalcino, to name a few. Chai Rum served delicious cocktails on the flydeck as Kiran Akal, the rum’s creator, shared insights and recipes.
Acqua dell’Elba founder, Marco Turoni, was also on board to offer a special gift from his Yachting line of products to all the guests. The event’s main sponsor was HiFX, a currency exchange company based in London, was on hand with Jonathan Gurr, who cycled from London to Monaco for the Blue Foundation, to represent his team.
Excited guests explored the yacht, which debuted with much anticipation at this year’s Monaco show, and enjoyed live jazz music and balmy breezes on the flydeck with the glowing principality as a backdrop while a pianist tickled the ivories in the upper-deck salon. This event presented a unique opportunity for charter brokers to discover the qualities of this striking new yacht and the crew who make the magic happen.
One of the most-visited yachts at this year’s show, SOLO will be available for charter in the Caribbean this winter with Northrop & Johnson. For more information, please contact Charter Manager Nicolas Fry.
