LOUIS MOINET'S RED ECLIPSE TIMEPIECE

Posted February 15, 2019 in Company by Janine St.Denis

On September 16 at the Neuchatel Observatory, innovative watchmaker Louis Moinet will celebrate the bicentenary of the chronograph by releasing Red Eclipse.

This watch, part of the Memoris line, will boast a limited edition of just 12 timepieces only. Red Eclipse will be a one-of-a-kind timepiece with a hand-engraved case depicting a lunar eclipse. All of the unique finishes expected will be encapsulated in the Red Eclipse, but will be made using processes dating back to the origins of watchmaking.

One of the most impressive facets of the Red Eclipse is the rose engine, which helps create the illusion that stars are twinkling on your wrist as you move your arm. This spectacular timepiece has already been nominated for an award at this year’s Grand Prix of Watchmaking, which will be Geneva November 10, 2016.
