Quin Bisset Joins Northrop & Johnson

Renowned yachting photographer Quin Bisset is now a member of Northrop & Johnson’s industry-leading, innovative in-house video production team. Quin is based in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, office.

Quin has a stellar reputation and a keen eye for photography. His exceptional attention to detail means his photography resume is chock-full of some of the most famous, most beautiful and most unique yachts on the water today. This roster includes SEA OWL, PARTY GIRL, KISMET, OKTO, DREAM, ADASTRA, LARISA, TV, SHOGUN, sailing yacht A, LADY JOY, NETANYA 8 and many others.

Quin has worked for some of the industry’s most prominent shipyards, such as Princess Yachts, and media superstars, including Boat International. He also was part owner of Q&K, a media firm that offered strategic yachting marketing campaigns including videography, photography, print and web design, among other offerings. Quin’s reputation of creativity, dedication to quality and proven history successful photoshoots precedes him and he is a much sought-after player in the yachting industry. Northrop & Johnson is thrilled to have Quin as a team member where his services will be available to owners with yachts in the Northrop & Johnson fleet.

Quin is originally from New Zealand. He attended the University of Canterbury where he studied film and commercial production. He began his career filming documentaries about wildlife, but soon switched gears to working on feature films, including “Black Hawk Down” and “Cold Mountain,” to name a few. Quin also has worked with some of the biggest names in feature films, Including Ridley Scott and Peter Jackson.

Quin found his way to the yachting industry by way of the America’s Cup in Auckland, New Zealand. Through this he learned he could combine his love of sailing, which he had enjoyed since his childhood, and photography. Since then, Quin has spent his professional career in the yachting space. He also holds three world offshore sailing records: Transpac, Newport, Bermuda and Cowes and Dinård.
