MEET MARCUS OVERMAN : NORTHROP & JOHNSON'S NEW SALES BROKER

From a very young age, Marcus spent his time around the water. Born in Brighton, England, but raised in, Sydney, Australia, Marcus always could be found surfing, sailing and enjoying life by the sea. At 20 years old, Marcus started his career in the marine industry as a water sports instructor on Hayman Island in the Whitsundays near the Great Barrier Reef. From there, he expanded his repertoire — from teaching sailing on Sydney Harbour to delivering yachts up and down the east coast of Australia. Marcus then started working for a global sailing charter company that took him around world. In 2002, he landed in Phuket, Thailand, where he stayed with his wife Linda and two children.

Having worked in Asia’s dealership and brokerage sectors of the industry since 2005, Marcus has a wealth of experience. He’s easily able to locate ideal boats best suited to clients’ needs. Marcus thrives on personal connections with others and the satisfactory feeling of handing over a yacht to a new owner, then hearing the stories and memories they make as they explore the stunning Asian region.
