My Present
Hi there, I'm Rebecca Cutter and I currently work as a Charter Manager at Northrop & Johnson. As an ex-pat from Britain, I stumbled upon the yachting industry back in 1996 when I moved to Antibes, France. I am thrilled to be part of the dynamic Charter Management Division of Northrop & Johnson with over two decades of experience working in Charter. My primary responsibilities include managing and promoting the booking calendars for the Northrop & Johnson European Charter Fleet, liaising with fleet owners, captains, and retail charter brokers to provide exceptional yachting experiences to both new and existing clients.
One of my favorite aspects of my job is being able to interact with yacht crew. I hold them in high esteem and believe that they play a crucial role in every successful yacht charter. It's amazing to meet such diverse and talented individuals working onboard these stunning vessels.
My Past
I'm the second of six siblings, born in Cambridgeshire to an English mother and American father. We travelled frequently throughout Europe when I was young, exposing me to various cultures and languages. My modest background instilled in me a drive to work hard and aim high. While working as a travel agent specializing in travel arrangements for marine crew worldwide, I discovered yachting and felt naturally drawn to the industry. I spent 22 years with Bluewater, learning everything I know about the industry, and am excited to embark on a new challenge with Northrop & Johnson's European team.
My Motto
Don’t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.
My Outside-office Life
When I am not working, my focus is on my family and doing the best possible job to raise my daughter and teach her wholesome values and respect for others. For those who are familiar with the French Riviera, you will know that we are fortunate enough to have the sea and the mountains on our doorstep, so there are endless opportunities to enjoy nature and the outdoors. Whether it’s hiking in the Esterel, skiing in the Alps or soaking up the sea and sun, there is so much to do and I feel truly blessed to live where I do.
