My Present
Hello, I’m George Whitehouse and I am currently serving as the Business Development Director at Northrop & Johnson. My 35+ tenure in the superyacht industry has given me invaluable experience and knowledge that I am thrilled to bring to N&J. My responsibilities span across various areas, including yacht management, fleet management and new build construction. I take pride in overseeing all aspects of operations and delivering exceptional results for N&J and IGY Marinas.
My Past
Throughout my career, I have held many diverse positions from being a Captain of 50m-73m superyachts to serving as the Business Development Director at renowned shipyards including the full build of Rybovich Marina & Shipyard and Savannah Yacht Center, as well as the re-design of Lauderdale Marine Center. My introduction to the yachting industry came while delivering yachts from Long Island, NY, to different destinations such as the Caribbean, The Bahamas and Florida. Afterward, I began running cruise ships in New York Harbor before entering the world of superyachts under the guidance of George Nicholson from Camper & Nicholsons. It's been yachting ever since.
My Future
My goal is to propel Northrop & Johnson to new heights and establish it as a global leader in the big boat market. Leveraging my expertise in handling large vessels, I am ready to optimize operational processes and position the company for ultimate success. Working closely with the entire team at Northrop & Johnson and IGY Marinas, I am committed to unlocking the full potential of our organization and ensuring the optimal positioning of big boats in the market.

I have a deep love for boating both in and outside the office. I cherish the moments spent with my family and, when time allows, always look forward to playing golf.
