My Present
My name is Fiona Maureso, Senior Charter Broker at the Northrop & Johnson office in Antibes, the heart of the Mediterranean cruising grounds.

My Past
After graduating from the University of Bath with a degree in European Studies, I left my native England to explore the world of yachting in the South of France. I started working as a deckhand/stewardess on a 40m motor yacht but decided life at sea was not for me. I moved ashore to work at a yacht brokerage company in Antibes and embarked on a career as a charter broker. In January 2013, I joined Northrop & Johnson’s charter department to help expand the brand’s presence in the South of France.

My Future
My aim is to continue to help clients book the holiday of a lifetime on luxury charter yachts. I learn from each new experience and love to put that knowledge and expertise at the disposal of my clients. Every day is an adventure, each charter different from any other; that’s what keeps me motivated and inspired.

My Outside-office Life
I live in a village in the hills behind Antibes with my family and take great pleasure in tending the garden and hosting relaxed dinners for friends. I also enjoy traveling and have had the great good fortune to visit some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.

Fast Facts

• I’m an active member of MYBA, the Worldwide Yachting Association and served as President for four years, a challenging but rewarding experience that expanded my professional and personal horizons.
• As well as my native English, I speak fluent French and am working on improving my rather poor Italian!
• Currently at the top of my bucket list is a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary II, the most romantic and glamorous way to get to New York (without the jet lag!).
