Hello. My name is Arvid Ljungberg, and I am a Yacht Broker at Northrop & Johnson. With two decades of experience in the Superyacht industry, I represent my clients in the sales and purchase process and curate bespoke charters worldwide.
My career started onboard as crew and Captain before transitioning ashore and into brokerage in 2023. What I love and what truly excites me about this dynamic industry and in my role as a yacht broker are the people that I meet and the relationships that I have built over the years. This is the foundation of my work and something I value deeply.
My Past
Originally from Sweden, I grew up playing ice hockey at an elite level before injuries put a halt to it. This break took me to Palma de Mallorca and opened my eyes to the world of yachting. Fast-forward fifteen years and a successful career onboard, where I progressed from deckhand to Captain, running busy charter yachts and cruising all over the world.
My years onboard and at the helm provided me with the insight, invaluable knowledge and experience that I use today when representing clients in the sales and purchase process. After stepping ashore and into brokerage I spent two years at another brokerage company before I had the exciting opportunity to join N&J.
My Future
I am thrilled to continue my journey with N&J and share my passion for yachting and the incredible life and joy that it brings to people. Whether you charter or decide to invest in your own yacht there is simply no better way to discover and experience the world than onboard with family and friends.
With my roots in Scandinavia, I hope to encourage more clients to bring their yachts up north and experience the serene nature and exceptional cruising grounds that it offers. There is nothing like it.

My Outside-office Life
If I'm not with my family, you’ll find me at the golf course, ice hockey rink or some other sporting venue. I love staying active and keeping fit and am always up for a new challenge, whether it’s a marathon or a mountain bike stage race.
