My Present Hi, my name is Jacobus (Jaco) Stofberg, Yacht Broker at Northrop & Johnson. After a career as an experienced Captain and engineer, I made the transition to land to start a family and welcomed a daughter in 2021. Being based in San Diego allows me to be very connected to the local marine industry and better serve my clients.
My Past I was born and raised in Namibia, Southwestern Africa, and eventually moved to England after completing high school. I have been in the industry for over 16 years, working on yachts ranging from 98’-180’. My experience in yachting, and my passion for exploring, have allowed me to be well-traveled.
My Future My goal is to build a portfolio of satisfied, returning customers and good quality of life for myself and my family.

My Outside-office Life I love activities in the outdoors, be it boating, hiking, surfing or camping. At home, I am the father to a little girl and our pup, Lulu.
