I’m Richard Higgins, Senior Yacht Broker with Northrop & Johnson. I have over 15 years of experience in superyacht sales representing clients in the sale, purchase and construction of large motor yachts, including one of the industry’s largest sales of 2022, a 95m Blohm & Voss. I provide my clients with an exemplary level of service through my extensive experience, technical acumen and dedication. I’ve lived and worked across three continents, learning the trade before settling full-time in the South of France.
I’ve always been fascinated by the water. After learning to sail at a young age in Southampton, I discovered my passion for the sea and started my yachting career as a crewmember working on an 85’ sailing yacht in Australia. I went to school in the UK, and after graduating, I worked in the defense industry in London. In 2010, I chose to indulge my true passion for the sea and was drawn to the yachting industry. I moved with my wife to the South of France, where I began building a successful and respected career in yacht brokerage.
I will continue to advance my passion for yachting and be a successful broker, negotiating and searching for the best deals for my clients. I enjoy learning and being inspired by others, absorbing as much knowledge as possible.
