A beautiful classic from the 1960s, the stunning 132’10” (40.25) CETACEA offers unique style and spell-binding glamor cruising swanky New England haunts in the summer and the palm-fringed islands of the Caribbean in the winter months. Built in 1969 and completely refit by the renowned Dutch shipyard Feadship in 2021, CETACEA offers the best of both worlds—incredible classic exterior lines by De Voogt and up-to-the-minute luxury amenities. With space for up to eight overnight guests, CETACEA is ideal for families or groups of friends looking for a smart charter vacation.
CETACEA’s cheerful interiors are from the boards of Robin Rose & Associates who have created a bright and contemporary ambiance while retaining lovely mid-century modern features. Teak paneling and joinery feature highly throughout for a warm and inviting feel, nicely offset by tones of blue and coral. The salon on the main deck is beautifully spacious offering home-from-home comforts with deep cushioned sofas and armchairs, smart triangular coffee table and nautically themed traditional paintings. It’s a lovely space for socializing, enjoying a favorite movie on the widescreen TV, or simply curling up with a good book plucked from the handsome bookshelf.
Further forward, the separate dining room is a charming space for entertaining with lovely views from the wrap-around windows. Festooned in rich teak paneling it’s not hard to imagine the glittering dinner parties of days gone by while creating new memories of your own.
There is also a large owner’s study and library that further reflects the charm and elegance of CETACEA’s heritage.
CETACEA welcomes her eight guests in four beautifully designed lower deck staterooms. The master suite spans CETACEA’s full beam and offers a king-size bed, exquisite joinery, a desk/vanity, and a generous en-suite bathroom with double sinks and a huge marble-clad walk-in steam shower. The VIP stateroom is just as opulent with a queen size bed, beautiful teak cabinets, and a large en-suite shower room. There are a further two twin cabins with side-by-side single beds and dedicated en-suite facilities.
CETACEA’s generous decks offer a range of spaces for dining, socializing, sunbathing and making the most of her stunning cruising grounds. The sheltered main deck is the place for hosting fabulous alfresco occasions at the stately dining table. Wrapped on both sides by windows, the indoor/outdoor space can be enjoyed whatever the weather.
On the forward upper deck, there is a similarly sheltered space for guests to relax in the sunshine while being protected from strong winds or rain. There’s built-in seating and raised tables for cocktails and snacks throughout the day. The upper deck aft is a great space for socializing at the bar and once the tenders are launched, there’s acres of space for sun loungers. The stern is lined with sofa seating and small tables for sundowners and canapes or more elaborate dockside events with casual meals straight off the barbecue grill.
CETACEA has plenty to keep guests entertained on board and there’s an array of toys to extend the fun to the water. CETACEA counts jet skis, SeaBobs, paddle boards and snorkelling equipment in her toy box as well as a range of towable toys for pulling behind her 32’ Edgewater Tender. There’s a second 23’ Smuggler tender for exploring close to shore.
Ensuring smooth cruising all the way is a dedicated professional crew of seven who provide seamless service and impeccable attention to detail making a charter vacation on CETACEA memorable for all the right reasons.
