The 78-foot (23.9m) cross-over yacht, from production sailing to fully custom motor yacht, BILL AND ME was built by Baltic Yachts in 2017.
This new hull form was first proven in the test tank using a radio-controlled model in waves that simulated severe storm conditions. With the addition of Seakeeper stabilizers and twin Volvo IPS rotating drives, BILL AND ME offers exceptional comfort and safety in all conditions.
BILL AND ME was produced for a client who had previously owned a production72-foot yacht and sailed around the world in her and was making the transition from sail to power. The brief was for a motor yacht that would be as seaworthy, feel as safe and be as quiet as a sailing boat, but also had to be fuel-efficient at slow and high speed and have a comfortable motion even when conditions get rough. The design also incorporates a large pilothouse, a spacious salon connected to a generous aft deck and the ability to carry a 4.5m tender in a stern garage. Easy water access, accessibility for older family members and a child-friendly environment also were considerations.
BILL AND ME has exceptional features, including a remarkable reflective glass deck superstructure housing the wheelhouse and deck salon, deep bulwarks provide great protection, an all-round walkway and custom stainless-steel work, further enhancing her contemporary look. An aft hydraulic bathing platform allows for easy water access, doubling as a passarelle when mooring stern-to. The yacht’s cockpit in the bow area is ideally suited for sunbathing and alfresco dining.
A striking interior by Design Unlimited offers bold, confident style with bright accent colors in all cabins. The yacht was detailed to a high level with every aspect considered, from hidden device docking and charging stations to colored wardrobes and cupboard interiors that match cabins’ color schemes. The dynamic main salon features floor-to-ceiling windows that provide exceptional views and flood the space with natural light. The wheelhouse is separated by a retractable panel that, when retracted, provides a 360-degree view. Large glass doors offer guests direct access to the extensive fore and aft deck spaces.
Three en-suite cabins, including a master featuring a walk-in wardrobe, welcome up to seven guests. BILL AND ME carries three crewmembers who are able to provide five-star service.
