The 1970 Custom Pilothouse SILVER OAK is a beautiful example of a Halmatic hull, designed by Jack Hargrave and completed at Daytona Shipyard in Florida. Her fiberglass hull offers great strength and efficiency. She was completely rewired in 2004, which included an interior remodel. Her flybridge was removed, transforming her into a classic gentleman’s cruising yacht and the tender was relocated to the hardtop, providing more outdoor space and larger common areas on her interior. SILVER OAK is equipped with Naiad Stabilization, a water maker and updated electronics. The yacht was a previous winner of the Newport Harbor Yacht Club Opening Day “Best in Show”.

SILVER OAK’s entire interior is accented with high gloss varnished wood and teak and holly flooring. Her 2004 remodel maintained her traditional elements while adding modernizations to ensure guest comfort. There is a steady flow of natural light from the many windows in the upper and lower salons. There is plenty of room for guests to move about, making SILVER OAK a perfect yacht for entertaining. Her pilothouse/upper salon space offers seating on a large L-shaped settee, with a custom table and two additional director’s chairs. The helm has a full array of modern navigation and electronics for safe wayfinding.

The galley has all the modern amenities one would expect on a yacht today. There is plenty of refrigeration with the Viking under-counter refrigerator and freezer, along with the U-Line wine cooler and ice maker. Granite countertops and varnished cabinets provide ample counter and storage space. A window aft opens to the cockpit, providing lovely airflow and easy serving access to the outdoor dining area. Forward of the helm and down a few steps is SILVER OAK’s additional salon, accented by a large settee and a teak table. There is another bunk area aft which makes for a great kid's bunk or a large storage area.

Six guests are welcome onboard in two cabins. The master suite is to starboard, featuring a raised queen-size bed, stainless steel portlights and an overhead hatch providing excellent natural light and ventilation. The master en-suite features a large shower and a vanity. SILVER OAK’s VIP stateroom is forward with a double berth to starboard and a single berth to port. This stateroom has an abundance of natural light and airflow thanks to an overhead hatch as well as six portlights.

SILVER OAK’s classic Halmatic hull has timeless lines and great seaworthiness while simultaneously providing many outdoor areas for entertaining. The removal of the flybridge allowed the tender to be relocated to the hardtop providing a massive foredeck area as well as a wide-open cockpit. The yacht’s cockpit has sunbeds with cushions and storage beneath on either side of a teak table. This is a lovely space to enjoy time spent alfresco, with easy access to the upper salon when desired. Her large foredeck features a huge area for outdoor lounging. The beautifully varnished toe rail and custom mast accent this true gentlemen’s yacht.
